Sunday 12 July 2015: Trekking or transfer to the golden eagle's observatory
Other two opportunities to visit the natural reserve of Gola del Furlo and to see the golden eagles’ eyrie.
At 8.30 a free walk to the panoramic terrace (altitude 690 mt.) in Monte Pietralata starts from the little village of Pagino to watch the golden eagles’ eyrie in Monte Paganuccio. Elevation difference: 370 mt. Lenght: 4 hours. The excursion will reach the refuge in Monte Pietralata and then come down again to Pagino.
A free transfer service (8 seats) to the observatory in Monte Pietralata starts at 9.00 – 10.00 – 11.00 – 12.00 – 15.00 – 16.00 – 17.00 from the tourist office of the Natural Reserve of the Gola del Furlo (punto IAT Furlo) in the village of Furlo di Acqualagna, via Flaminia n.36. From the observatory in Monte Pietralata, on the other side of the Candigliano river, another free opportunity to watch the golden eagle’s eyrie built on the crag in Monte Paganuccio, hoping to see by the spotting scope the adult couple and the eaglet born last May.
Free admittance for both options: trekking to the panoramic terrace or transfer to the observatory. Reservation is required. Contact the Furlo tourist office (punto IAT Furlo). Phone: 0721-700041. E-mail: riservafurlo@provincia.ps.it
