Sunday 18 June 2017: Playful activities for children, archaeological walk and nature walk

Playful activities for children in the afternoon and two guided walks are the free opportunities to help visitors enjoy the Reserve on Sunday.

Playful activities for children.  The event “Furlo Family” will be for families with children. Meet at 3pm in the nature reserve visitor centre in the village of Furlo di Acqualagna, via Flaminia n.36 to have fun with a programme of games like puzzle and creative trials to overcome. Families will have the opportunity to visit the Lorenzo Mannozzi Torini nature museum.

Guided archaeological walk.  Meet at 9.30am at the visitor centre in the village of Furlo di Acqualagna, via Flaminia n.36 to explore the great Roman remains along the Gola del Furlo. A guide will led to admire the two Roman tunnels and other imprints of the Roman past along the Via Flaminia, the grand road built by the consul Caio Flaminio in the III century B.C. to connect Rome to Rimini passing through the Gola del Furlo. The route of the walk will be flat and accessible to everybody.

Guided walk “Tra le meraviglie della Gola”.   At 3.30pm visitors can profit by “Tra le meraviglie della Gola”, the guided walk throughout the marvels of nature and history in the Gola del Furlo Nature Reserve. A guide will explain the sorts of plants and flowers and talk about the wild animals and birds of prey, such as the golden eagle, which can be observed in the protected area. It will be possible to admire also the two tunnels bored by the Romans along the consular via Flaminia and other archaeological sites. Meet at the Gola del Furlo Nature Reserve tourist office in the village of Furlo di Acqualagna, via Flaminia n.36. The route of the walk will be flat and accessible to everybody.
