From the observatory in Monte Pietralata, on the other side of the Candigliano river, another free opportunity to see the golden eagle’s eyrie built on the crag in Monte Paganuccio where an eaglet was born last May. A special event to visit the natural reserve and to learn about the golden eagle, hoping to see by the spotting scope the adult couple feeding the eaglet.

There will be two ways to get to the observatory in the panoramic balcony in Monte Pietralata, where a spotting scope is pointed to the eyrie and where an expert will be waiting for visitors.

Trekking. The walk following path number 449 starts at 9.00 from the parking area near the dyke. The itinerary is accessible to children from 10 years old used to cover mountain paths.

Transfer. The bus (8 seats) to the observatory starts at 9.00 – 10,00 – 11,00 – 12.00 – 15.00 – 16.00 – 17.00 from the tourist office of the Natural Reserve of the Gola del Furlo (punto IAT Furlo) in the village of Furlo di Acqualagna– via Flaminia n.36.

Free admittance for both options. Reservation is required. Contact the Furlo tourist office (punto IAT Furlo). Phone: 0721-700041. E-mail: riservafurlo@provincia.ps.it
